Snow!

We were up in Breckenridge and saw our first snow of the season!
Parker loves it when we go for a hike. The great thing about Colorado is that you can find a dirt road, drive and drive and drive up, eventually you find a deserted spot to hike. I love it when we find an empty spot because we can take Parker off his leash and he runs wild!

Mt. Bierstadt

We climbed a fourteener (over 14,000 feet elevation)! Mt. Bierstadt is known as one of the "easier" fourteeners in Colorado but... it's still not easy!!! It took us a total of about 5 hours. When I say "we" I mean me and my dad. The boys all sped up ahead but me and the padre took a slower pace. My mom was stuck with their dog Elvis, he's an old pup but he still enjoyed himself. It was a lot harder than I expected but we had a great time and I am glad I finished it! In the picture above Mt. Bierstadt is the peak on the very right. This was when we were still in the valley about to start our climb.
Here is Caleb at the top.
At the top! When you get close to the tippity-top there isn't really a trail to follow. You have to make your own trail along huge rocks and boulders. My dad was not a big fan of this part.

Another Good Sunday!

Another great weekend. Today we went for a hike in Evergreen. I've decided Parker is part billy goat. He climbed up all the rocks with us.

Later in the day we went to Cirque Du Soleil. It was so neat! I think it was about a guy dreaming about his funeral. In the opening act there are ladies swinging from chandeliers. That was when Austin whispered to me, "This looks more like a party than a funeral!"

The funniest part- they had this cute lady midget and she was tied to HUGE balloons. They had just enough helium in them so she would float but eventually sink back to the ground. The guy who was holding her down tossed her in the crowd so she floated above us and when she came back down the audience had to push her so she floated back. It cracked me up! Who knew floating midgets were so cute!!
