Santa Fe

Austin & I were in New Mexico the other week. It's so peaceful there and I love looking at all the artwork. Too bad all the cool pictures I took are forever gone because I lost my memory card. We went to dinner at The Pink Adobe one night and had a delicious dinner and a really fun night.

Mary & Steve's Wedding

Last weekend we were in Georgia for Mary Catherine & Steve's wedding. Mary is a very southern gal and she had a southern wedding to go with it!
Look, I chopped my hair off a whole 6 inches.
We got to meet up with some friends while we were out there. Jorge and Jasmine were nice enough to let us stay at their place. They are getting married this summer. They live right across the street from eachother and when I say right across the street I'm not exaggerating. See this picture below, it's taken from the doorway of Jorge's house and Jasmine's house is the one in the background.
Since the wedding was in the afternoon we headed out and about for the rest of the night. Sibley drove his hot rod down (he put it together with his dad, it looks like the most UNSAFE vehicle you could possibly drive. At least he wears his prescription goggles and seat belt when he drives it.)
We ended up at a karaoke bar, the boys sang some lovely melodies. I am the only one who didn't sing even though Austin tried to turn in a song request in my name. Thank goodness I found out his sneaky ways before he turned in the slip of paper.... I was NOT going to sing a Fergie song... regardless of how hard it would have made my friends laugh.

Vegas

I haven't posted anything for a while but I have a perfectly good explanation for that.... I was in Vegas for my bachelorette party. It was exhausting! Then when I got back I got the flu. Now I am back and ready to post some pictures. Don't worry Dad, they are G rated. I know you have been constantly checking because you are scared of what I will post on here.
On our way to..... have fun of course!!
Thanks to you all for coming! Even my little buddy Michelle surpised me and flew out from Kansas, I was so excited when I saw her in Vegas. And Marcie flew out from Georgia. Thanks girls!! We managed to lose one in Vegas but she safely made it home the next day (sorry buddy but I had to say it. You'll never live that one down.)
Here we are dancing and keeping our distance from a creepy lurker that wouldn't leave us alone.
Julia is the pass queen. She goes to Vegas a lot and therefore has a quite extensive collection of passes for clubs and interesting places. We would spread them all out and pick our destination for the night.
I love the fountains at the Bellagio! I've never been to Vegas before (which is one reason Leah insisted she plan a bachelorette party there.... dangerous.) I love the fountains! I also really liked this brave little duck. He was swimming around all alone. He didn't seem to mind the waves and splashing from the fountains. I admired his bravery.
Oh I almost forgot--- Leah! Thank you o-so much!!! You were a very busy and secretive planner. I had a blast and I don't know if I will ever be able to match it... until it's your turn of course. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

LA

Austin's friend Anthony lives out there so we got to see him too. He showed us around the city. In Beverly Hills they hang up chandeliers from the light posts. Maybe I don't get out much but I thought it was interesting. There was also a runaway truck ramp in one of the neighborhoods that I wish I got a picture of. If you live in Colorado you are used to the massive runaway truck ramps on I-70. Well, in LA they have this dinky little path that barely has an incline and has big flower pots at the end. It you are from CO and you saw it, you would have laughed.
Lizzy got us a wonderful place to stay where we soon discovered a Pictionary game in the closet. One night after dinner we had a fierce game going. This is Leah's horse. The other group thought we were cheating because I guessed it right. It looks like a horse right? I think so.

New York!

Austin & I went to New York for the weekend. It is quite a busy place. It was chilly and windy too! We strolled around the city, got lost on the subway, saw ground zero and went to the Toys R' Us store in Times Square. The Toys R' Us is a mad-house!!! We spent a lot of time in there and I found a huge stuffed animal dog. Austin kept wanting to play with the lego's.
