I'm now 29, another year closer to 30.  There are many surprises in store for this year and I can't wait!  We had dinner at my parents house where my dad made this lovely birthday drawing.  My mom cooked a feast big enough for 20 people, except there were only five of us there.  It was all delicious, my favorite was the cake.  Then last night we headed to dinner at Cafe Brazil to celebrate.  If you haven't been there and you like Brazilian food, you should check it out.  Yum!  They have a rum bar if you are a rum-dum-dandy kind of person.

I also got some lovely presents.  Some new shoes from Austin because he is sick of me wearing my tattered old ones and a camera from my parents.  People, this is the coolest camera ever!  This morning I woke up, read through the manual (which isn't much help) and got online to find a book specifically for this camera.  Problem is, all the books for the G11 version are not out yet.  I'm not going to know what all these fancy buttons can do for months!  I will not be letting my camera live up to its potential.  I guess I'll just be doing some experimenting till I can get my hands on a book.

Marlyn's 30th Birthday

Dad's Birthday

Last week was my dad's birthday.  We headed to their house to celebrate over cinnamon rolls and mimosas.  He got up extra early to ride the new bike he got for his birthday and he woke up to a bunch of snow... so no birthday bike ride. 

Happy Birthday Austin

Austin is now 29 years old! We planned on going out to sushi just the two of us but then we got a phone call. My parents and the Z's were going out to dinner to celebrate Linda's birthday. We decided to join them and make it a joint celebration. The more the merrier! We went to a cute little place in Morrison called Beso de Arte. If you are looking for a new restaurant to try you should check it out. They even have a "cave room" you can reserve that is behind a waterfall. And if you get there early enough you can catch some live music too.

Happy Birthday Mom & Parker

Tuesday was my mom's birthday. We took her out to dinner in the Highlands. I was sad because we planned on taking her to my favorite restaurant Stella Trattoria but it turns out they are closed on Tuesday. So we headed to Julia Blackbird instead.

Even though it was HER birthday she came over with wine and cookies. She's so great! Check out the lovely biking shirt we got her.

Not only is wedding season in full swing, so is birthday season! There are a lot of them this month. Happy birthday to my big brother Matt and my Grandpa J. I hope you had fabulous days and many more to come!

It was Sarah's bday so I made her an amazing cake. Okay, so they were cupcake kinda things but they were good.

We had a great dinner downtown at a very tasty restaurant. Marlyn got a wee-bit excited when her b-day desserts were coming out and one of them accidently got knocked on Austins lap. Oops.

Jorge was in town and we went downtown to celebrate for Austin's bday. Happy birthday to Jessica A, Kristi & James too! Lots of superb folks were born in August!!

Happy B-day Annie R J!!!!!

My very first and cutest niece ever, miss Annie Rose Johnson, is now 1 years old! Soon little AR will be walking and opening cabinets and hiding remote controls, I can't wait!!!!

Happy B-day to the "Golden Child"! My little brother is now 25 on the 25th! Congrats, you are still a young pup. Noah liked the Aerobi that I gave Cal. I also gave him a handy dandy camera tripod that is bendy, it's wrapped around the wine bottle in the picture above.

We went to Megan's birthday party shin-dig. The place was swarming with Evergreeners. Pretty puppy Bella came too and she immediatly found the ice cube bucket.
