There is always a couple great danes at the dog park. I just love how giant and dopey the are. Parker and this black great dane were having fun together.
We took Parker to the dog park. The second we drive in the parking lot he starts making the strangest noises, he gets so excited. On this day it must have been weimaraner dog club day. There were about 20 weimaraner's. They are such pretty dogs, then my mutt chased them down and I laughed. 
The dogs are getting along swimmingly, except for the feeding incident. I decided to take a risk and see if they could be fed at the same time. At first I thought it was too easy because they seemed fine so I took their picture because I thought they looked cute... turns out NO they can't be fed together. Right after I took this picture Charlie attacked Parker and I got a lovely chunk taken out of my leg. I assumed that would happen. Parker isn't aggressive about his food at all and at the time I figured it's worth a try with the new dog. Well, now I know he is aggressive with his food and they will be fed separately. You never know if you don't try. Oh the joys of learning about a new dog!
My co-worker emailed me this picture. Her friend took his 9 month old dog, Tenzing, on a hike. This wasn't your average hike, they climbed a 14-er. This is the picture of Tenzing at the top. Look how tired he is! He just plopped down in the snow and took a nap. It's so cute.
NO, I did not find another stray dog. Our dog, Parker, has been depressed latley so we decided he needed a friend. We headed to the Denver Dumb Friends League and adopted our new family member. Say HI to Charlie!

We went to Lizzy's house for dinner on Sunday night. She cooked us a lovely meal complete with pretty presentation. Besides the good dinner we got to play with her roommates new beagle puppy named Bella. She's so cute! And yes this is the house that has 4 cats in it. The cats do not like the new puppy taking over their territory.
For some reason I painted on these pictures of Parker and I gave them to my parents. It was a couple years ago when he was really young and before he lost all the pigmentation in his skin. Look how black his nose is and no gray hair!! My parents have had these pictures up of him since and I am so proud. I like the picture when he got stuck in the hangar. I walked in the room and he somehow got himself stuck in a plastic hangar and bit off the top of it. Ohhhh puppies, you'll never understand till you have one. I suppose that's what they say about kiddo's, you'll never understand till you have one. I'll stick with puppies for a while.
Caleb and Noah came over. Being the great aunt I am I let Noah play in the dog igloo. Ooooo, fun!! The basketball games were on tv but he wanted to eat a football instead.
We had some visitors at 3am the other morning. Parker was barking like crazy so I got out of bed and discovered two dogs hanging out on my doorstep. I brought them in for the night because they had tags so I figured they escaped accidently in the middle of the night. I called their owner in the morning and she was up in the mtns skiing. She came back early when I called and she found out her house was broken into. The burlger left the door open and that is how the dogs got out. It's a good thing I let them stay the night, who knows where they would have roamed. Parker enjoys the visitors.
I had the pleasure of hanging out with Wally last night and he was looking goooooood in his stylish sweater. Too bad when you put it on him he freezes and is incapable of moving. We had to take it off of him, I felt guilty. It did make me laugh though!
Meet Rex Barney. This is Kiley's newest addition to her family. Her fiance Charlie surprised her last night with her Christmas present........ little cute Rex Barney. He's a 10 week old golden. Don't you want to squeeze him!!??
I swear I don't go around stealing dogs! This is George. I don't know his real name but I am calling him George till I find his owners. He was roaming the neighborhood today having a great time. Of course he has no ID tag but he's super friendly. He belongs to someone, now I just have to find who. In the meantime, my dog is having a great time playing with him! PS- People, put ID tags on your dog!!!!!
