New Moon

I read all the Twilight books and quickly became a cheesy vampire lover.  When the second movie came out I had to go!  Austin was kind enough to go with me for my birthday.  I love when Austin will see a chick flick with me, it shows real love.  So we went and... it was horrible!!!  We were both so bored but we managed to struggle our way through the entire movie.  It is a really slow and lame movie so spare yourselves.  I liked the first one.  Maybe #3 will be better?  He already warned me that he won't be seeing #3 with me, even if it is for my birthday.

Next time he gets to choose.

Linguini

I saw this when I was walking the dog and I thought it was so funny I took my camera the next time I went for a walk. It is definitly the best lost cat sign I've ever seen. Look at the bottom two pictures of Linguini, he's in some mariachi band with a mustache and lovely eyebrows. In the other picture I'm not sure what Linguini is doing, riding in a spaceship? Now that must definitely be the best cat in the world.

UPDATE: I've been informed that Linguini is not in a mariachi band, he's actually hanging out with the Beatles. Thanks Emily for keeping me informed. Ha, that makes this sign even more funny!!

Someone decided to add this lovely message to the stop sign by our house. That's great and all you're trying to send a "stop hatin" message but I would appreciate it if you would stop hatin' the neighborhood property!

I Miss My Camera

I haven't posted for a little bit since my camera has been broken. There have been many fun activities I have not shared with you.... Kiley's bachelorette party in Telluride, my little brother Caleb's birthday, Breckenridge and some great hikes, Julia's going away bash and today the zoo with Noah. I can tell you the past week of events has been a whirl wind but I have no cool pictures to show you!

The Living Camera

You have to watch this video about Steven Wiltshire. He is an artist living in London. The interesting part is that he is autistic and is known as an autistic savant. According to Wikipedia "Savant syndrome, decribing individuals with a developmental disorder and one or more areas of expertise, ability or brilliance." Watch the entire video, it's amazing.

*He doesn't sketch out his drawings beforehand and they are proportioned so well. If you have ever done any drawing you will agree that it isn't as easy as it looks to make that round building look like a round building on paper. Too bad my first day of art class in college was drawing nudes. I would have much rather gone with a building.

Drag Queen Bingo

These pictures are from last Friday. Tonight I am staying home and loving every minute of it! The whole week has been crazy busy. I have been looking forward to this Friday night the whole week. I have the place to myself so I won't get lectured about the trashy tv I watch. Austin, you're missing out! Now back to my plan for the night which is- no plan except to catch up on some stuff at home and enjoy my recorded trashy tv shows.

Drag Queen Bingo... yes, Drag Queen Bingo. It was a blast! The best part is that all the proceeds go to charity. Tonight all our cash went to the Children's Auxiliary Foundation. I love going out and finding something different to do and on this particular night I found my answer. Austin was a trooper and joined us. He didn't want me to take his picture with the hot ladies/men and he wouldn't look at the camera but I had to do it. Aw... my husband is the best and he even poses with drag queens for me. Love him! (HIM meaning Austin, not the nasty green hair beast next to Austin.)

Guess what? I WON! I was so excited. I got to go up front and collect my prize. I'm not going to tell you what my bingo numbers had to be in the shape of to win but you can use your imagination. Keep in mind this is not your average bingo. The drag queen standing next to me was very disturbing. I thought he was going for the poodle look but looking back I see he was trying to do a monkey imitation (hence all the monkey stuffed animals).

We all had to hold up our bingo doppers in the air and do a bingo pledge before we played. It cracked me up! If you are ever in need for something different to do head down to Hamburger Mary's on the second Friday of the month. Not only is it hilarious but you will be donating to a good cause. Each month they benefit a different charity and I think that's wonderful.

Dork.

Yes... this is my current stance. My computer was giving me problems so I transferred the uploading project to Austin's computer. That one sits on the floor while I look up the same websites on my computer over and over and watch tv. During this picture I was watching Chelsey Handler. She is so funny! Austin & I saw her a while ago at Comedy Works and it was the funniest show I have ever seen there.

*Note- if you are wondering about the closed caption on the tv... I love closed caption. Don't try to analyze it, I always watch tv with cc and no- I am not deaf.

*2nd Note- I swear this is not all I do with my life. I got a haircut and choppped 6 inches off my hair today. I went to Petsmart. I also took the little guy to the dog park. So really, I kinda... slightly... somewhat have a life other than my blog and uploading pictures. Maybe.

*3rd Note- Am about to finish uploading picture # 290. I'm starting to realize this is not a project that can be finished in a weekend no matter how much time I dedicate. I am stopping once I hit 300.

Color Fun

I've been playing around with the colors of my layout when I realized it's been almost a year since I've had this blog. I love looking back on all my old posts, there are so many things I have forgotten about and it makes me laugh when I see all the good times I've had this past year.

Since it's been almost a year I figure it's time for some new colors. Well.... that and Austin sheepishly asked me the other night, "Can I be part of your blog too?" I was shocked! I thought he wanted nothing to do with it! So, I figured the pink layout had to go if he was going to keep any of his manhood while making his own posts. From now on this is officially Jessica & Austin Schmidt's blog.

I think he married me just to inherit the blog.
